The spring I used does not have a lot of tension just enough to push the Optical Interrupter up when the filament is out. So there shouldn't be any trouble with the filament binding.
Spring Wide 4.30mm x Length 15.00 mm
Print the Optical Interrupter in black at 100% infill. The rest at 25% or more.
