Organic Hex Clock Frame – Original Design by WildMesh Studios
This is the latest prototype from one of my own original clock designs. Inspired by biophilic design, natural cellular structures, and modern architectural geometry, I wanted to create something that feels both engineered and organic at the same time.
The frame combines clean geometric lines with an evolving hexagonal lattice that mimics patterns found in nature, giving it a lightweight appearance while remaining structurally strong. It's designed from the ground up for 3D printing, with precision wall thicknesses, smooth flowing transitions, and practical engineering built into every part.
The final version is intended to feature hand-finished olive wood inserts, creating a striking contrast between warm natural timber and the clean, modern 3D printed frame. Every piece is designed to be unique, showcasing the natural grain of the wood while celebrating contemporary manufacturing.
