Oriental Pearl Tower 1:2000

I'm not really a fan of support, but with this model it's unavoidable. I thought to myself - there are already enough Eifel towers, liberty towers, moais and similar things as landmarks for 3D printing. So why not try another exciting constructed building, like the oriental pearl tower? I haven't been to Shanghai myself and unfortunately have never seen it in real life. All the data I needed to construct it was taken from pictures and a fraction of the sparse information from Wikipedia. I have not been able to find construction plans anywhere ;) But I think anyone who knows the tower or has seen a picture of it before will be able to recognize it as such... The tower was created by me in a scale of 1:2000 because 468 meters height fit badly into a 3D printer. However, it should be printed in a layer height of 0.1, so that the fine and painstakingly worked out details are shown to their best advantage. With its futuristic appearance, the Oriental Pearl Tower stands out even among the buildings in the busy Pudong District in Shanghai with their individual silhouettes. The tower consists of 11 steel spheres of different sizes, which are connected by three columns. At the base, the tower is supported by three diagonal columns. At night, a 3D light show illuminates the tower and makes it stand out against the famous skyline of the district. The tower attracts an estimated 2.8 million visitors a year, with attractions such as a revolving restaurant, a shopping center, a hotel and even a roller coaster. The names of the spheres suggest interplanetary travel, in keeping with its futuristic architecture: the highest viewing platform is the Space Module, the lowest Space City.
