Orion 8" Solar Filter Frame

Orion SkyQuest 8" Solar Filter FRAME ONLY, it requires use of a filter film, do not use without it permanent blindness or injury can occur if not used without the filter. please use at your own risk and discretion.

Once printed both the Rim and the Cap lay the solar filter on top cut to size or use cardboard and use a smaller opening to use less material. place the rim on top and use small screws separated 1/2 - 1' all around rim to secure to the Cap or you can use double sided tape on both sides of the film to secure the rim filter and cap.

I used a 12" printer bed for it to come out complete in once piece each, if you have smaller printers you can cut the model in 3 or 4 then do the same with the rim, offset the positions when gluing to increase strength of the frame.
