This is the Oscillation Overthruster from the 1984 film, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension!
This is one model I've worked long and hard on. It's a VERY difficult model due to all the complex angles and shapes involved. But this is a very good approximation of the Overthruster and was modeled to scale from a prop replica so it should be the correct size as well.
As of March 2016, the Oscillation Overthruster is printable! I added four new STL files: The main body, the extra parts for the other side, and brass and black trim pieces. I printed these (very colorfully) so you can see which piece goes where. I'll soon print them in silver, gold, and black for a more accurate look. But we're really getting somewhere!
