So I wanted a simple way to take pictures of objects/papers that eliminated my need to hold the phone perfectly still - my inability to hold still often screws up clarity especially if I am taking pictures of documents. Came up with this.
Should be pretty self explanatory. The legs are pieces of a tent pole (hollow fiberglass) with an 8mm diameter. The clips are just butterfly clips although they aren't really necessary as the bracket holes are snug.
The phone just sits as pictured and if you use a 3 second timer, the pic will be as good as your phone can take it. My camera is centered on the body of the phone so this works. You may have to fiddle if the lens is in one corner.
Sample picture (airsoft pistol) shows clarity/results - fake serial number can be easily read in the full size original. :-)
