I am new to 3D printing and don't now a lot, but I do know that wobble and drag is bad! After sitting through print after print of a squeaking, throbbing filament wheel, I thought to myself “I bet I can make this a bit more smooth.” Viola! My design for a filament spool insert that fits the cardboard Overture filament spools, made for the Ender 3 v2 filament holder. Though I'd imaging that it would work on any spool with similar sized hole (measurements below).

Print two total (one for each side of the spool).

Plug diameter: 55mm

Hole diameter: 36.25mm

Made in Tinkercad

Printed with a 0.4mm nozzle set to 0.20mm layer height.
