Riding an electric unicycle is cool. But riding a cloud is even cooler!
This is a cover for a Ninebot One E+, that hides the unicycle and makes you appear standing on a cloud. This particular cloud design happens to be the cloud from the ownCloud logo. Done for showing sponsorship at dvocc17.
The cover was cut from 10mm sheets of white PU foam. The biggest part is the center circle of 45cm diameter. All the other parts fit into a smallish 300mm x 400mm lasercutter.
The assembled cloud stands 65cm high and is 118cm long.
Please refer to the included STL file to see how the individual parts are layered. I've glued them ontop of each other with lots of hot glue. Not the perfect method, as foam keeps the heat in much longer than one would expect. So the parts do not immediatly stick, and pressing the glued areas caused multiple blisters on my fingers. Ouch!
The included SVG file contains multiple layers. That helps you to follow the construction steps from photo to a layout
