Oxygen Airhose Clip

These clips attach to a hat, headband, or wig to elevate the supply lines of an over-the-ear nasal cannula above the ear and prevent or alleviate abrasion and ulceration.

Patients undergoing respiratory therapy often receive oxygen via thin flexible tubing and a small device that is inserted into the nostrils. The tubing sits between the patient's head and the tops of the ears and can cause small sores on the ears. In the best cases, the sores are irritating and short term. In extreme cases, the ulcers can be very slow to heal and become infected.

These clips were developed for a family member who suffered from painful skin ulcers aggravated by his oxygen lines. The relief was immediate and allowed his skin to heal and be comfortable. The clips fit a variety of caps and hats, fabric/elastic headbands, and would even be suitable to attach to a wig.
