i was using a friends router that had a similar base that he had made out of wood and decided i wanted one, but i decided to model and print it instead to my palm routers dimensions.it is great for flattening dowels or inlayed joinery and routing out grooves for shelves etc. i made it for my cheaper palm routers that fit into the 65mm diameter router bases that you can buy cheap from aliexpress.the bolt slots are 68mm apart centre too centre. for grooves into a peice of wood remove the two front screws closest to opening then. align the widest part of the bit with a straight edge so its in line with the two flat faces of the base as shown in the photo.get a straight bit of wood to use as a fence to run the router base along. line it up with your mark and begin routing. (use wood as a guide incase you havent set the bit completley flush as it could grab the metal causing damage or kickback) for flushing of inlays or dowels put the base onto a flat surface drop the bit until it touches t
