This is a remix of a design I made a couple of years ago for my BigBox
(thing:1828099).
I made this design because I wanted my 7inch screen in the middle of my E3D Tool Changer, the current designs are asymmetric, because the PanelDue controller board is mounted directly to the backside of the screen. I made a bracket for the controller board which must be screwed at the back of the screen, and have used a 40pins (IDE) cable to connect the two. This requires some soldering (see pictures), since the connector pins are sort of mirrored on the standard 40pins connectors.
With the two feet mounted, you can slide the case onto the bottom plate of the printer.
The design can be printed without supports.
Parts used:
9x M3x6 hex socket self tapping screw
1x 20cm 40pin GPIO Ribbon Cable
2x 40Pin 2.54mm male single row header strip
(thing:1828099).
