Pants Elastic Shortener

I have a skiing holiday coming up, and it seems I've lost some weight! Or, maybe, the elastic in my ski pants has relaxed some. Anyway, I needed to shorten the elastic to keep my pants up. I could have used a needle and thread to put a tuck in the elastic, or maybe used a safety pin, but I chose to design this buckle instead. It improves over a needle and thread by being removable, and improves over a safety pin by supporting the full width of the elastic. It's a simple little thing, but perhaps someone will find it useful. The buckle shortens the elastic by about 50mm or 2 inches. My elastic was 35mm wide; there should be no problem scaling the model for wider elastic if needed. Also, the design of my pants is such that I can thread the elastic through the buckle, as shown in the third photo. If the elastic you want to shorten is fixed at both ends, you would need a design without the bottom bar, so you could slot the buckle on from the top. If you have such a need, let me kno
