Papa Smurf

Papa Smurf (originally Grand Schtroumpf, in English Papa Smurf) is the leader of the Smurfs, and is easily distinguished from the others by his red clothes and bushy white beard. Being very wise and level-headed, all the Smurfs turn to him to solve problems, often calling him "Papa Smurf! Papa Smurf!". He is a skilled wizard in preparing spells and potions, better than Gargamel, so he is usually the one to save "his little Smurfs" from the clutches of the wizard.
