This is a two-part paper towel holder. It can work horizontally or vertically, and it would probably work with toilet paper as well (just adjust the length of tube you're using).

This holder needs a tube to go through the center of the bracket. I recycled an aluminum tube from the packaging of a Lovesac couch, but any foot-long dowel would work (the design is parametric, so just adjust the defined diameter in Fusion 360).
