The print quality isn't the best. But I still think it's cool :) Note for the Z=X²-Y² model: The base plate with the axis system and the paraboloid are separate. I had to insert a cut because the prints always failed as a single piece.Further note: The surface of the Z=X²+Y² paraboloid print is not very smooth. Here is a short summary of my entire workflow to generate the 3d math models:MATLAB Script (Modeling):Defines the mathematical function of the surface (e.g., z=x²−y²), dimensions, and wall thickness.Generates a grid of points and calculates the geometry for a "watertight" 3D volume.Writes this geometry data (points and faces) into a .scad file using the MATLAB functions fopen, fprintf, and fclose.OpenSCAD (Rendering & Export):Open the .scad file generated by the MATLAB script.Press F6 to render the model and validate it as a solid body.Export the rendered model as an .stl file.3D Printing:Load the .stl file into a slicer program (e.g., Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer).
