I made this for my mom. She requested a paracord slider, and I had a piece of oak left over that I decided I could repurpose for this very project.
You'll need to print the end cap and the slider mount. It fits a piece of 1x2, if you wanted to use pine, oak, etc. I chiseled out a channel in the wood, and then used bolts and heat set inserts for securing the mounts. I used 1/4 heat set brass inserts from Amazon. Use a wing nut to create a locking slider and braid to your hearts content!
You'll also need to chisel out a small bit for the end mount. I found that chiseling and gluing that end mount made it pretty secure. You could also drill a hole and screw it in too.The slider rests on top of the wood. Sand down the wood if it's a tight fit and it'll slide nice and smooth.
