I needed a simple tensioner for Paracord that could withstand significant force. This tensioner works by twisting a section of cord around the middle section, and locking in place with the notches at each end. The picture says it all. I created two models. The one with openings on the same side is stronger. The one with openings on opposite sides is for lighter or constantly changing forces. The idea was to lessen the chance that the tensioner would come loose by rolling to one side or the other. I haven't tested the second model, because I'm working with higher consistent forces. The first model seems to work well. OK, after 8 copies and 24 hours of use, no warping under tension. But, that's out of direct sunlight in Phoenix, AZ in June. Also, maybe I'll elongate the lock arms and curve the corners for ease of use. I probably should print in white to reduce temperature and likeliness of deformation.
