This is a parametric 18xx train game tile tray.
Features:
Stackable. Trays snap into each other.
Minimal: It's material efficient.
Easy access: Tiles are easy to pick up from the edges. Also, they have optional pedestals which allow pushing on one side and making the tile pop up.
Customizable: 6x4 fits perfectly in an 18Chesapeake box, but you can output any dimensions.
How to:
- Open BIT_18xx_tiles.scad in OpenSCAD.
- Set rows and cols to the number of rows and columns you want, respectively.
- tile-depth specifies the number of tiles you want each slot to hold. The default is 3.
- pedestal specifies whether you want to be able to push down on one side of a tile and make it tilt up. It makes it easier to get tiles. The downside is an extra 2mm height per tray.
I've included STLs for 6x4 and 3x4 trays.
