Parametric Dowel Block drilling jig

Simple jig for drilling dowel rods into the end of sheet wood.

This jig is functional but care must be taken when using it as the plastic is brittle so can crack if the drill bit grabs the edge.

This is an openscad file + 2 STL files.

I have made the openscad file so that the block can be customized for the wood width, dowel size, depth, block size etc.

The openscad file is currently setup for and 18MM block as printed on an old printer I had.

You need to ensure that both the cutout and the drill hole are a tight fit, the drill hole obviously needs to allow you to put the drill in though without grabbing your plastic. I would recommend making a small version to test the parameters in order to make sure that the fits are tight. Also a bit of oil in the drill hole can help.

Ideally you want the drill hole as smooth as possible so lower layer heights are good. You also want the infill to be fairly high(it has been so long since I printed this I can't remember my setting
