I wanted to make an aluminum cyberdeck, and since I don't have a CNC or mill that can mill aluminum, I decided I would need to use sheets of aluminum and fold it. As a result, I designed this script for automatically creating a printable design which can be glued to cardboard or sheet metal then used to cut out the shape needed for folding into an LCD panel case. You could also just make boxes if you'd like.
The instructions for using the scad file are all in the file itself. Just open it in OpenSCAD, type in the dimensions you need, then output it to an SVG and print it out. I used a glue stick to stick it to the aluminum. I also ran a few tests using paper and cardboard before committing my aluminum to the knife, and I suggest you do the same so you know where to cut and where not to. Also be careful of your folds. If you fold in the wrong place, some sides might be a little shorter than you expect. It actually happened to me, but since I needed airflow for the raspberry pi, it tu
