Parametric Lens cap

Parametric flip up lens cover for scopes that I designed using Fusion 360. Open the .f3d file in Fusion 360. Select the Modify tab, then the Change Parameters towards the bottom of the list. A window will open and adjust the top 2 values in the Expression column to match the outside of your scope. Both values for outside diameter need to be adjusted and equal to each other. The joint is sized for a piece of 1.75 filament.

Recommend TPU for the base so it is flexible and will be a snug fit around the scope.
Recommend PETG for the cap and pin for the joint.

UPDATE;

I've added improved designs. The improved designs include a groove in the base piece and a small lip in the lid piece. This will help to secure the lid in the close position.

UPDATE 12/14/2023

Added Lay Flat model. The hinge on the model was raised slightly, allowing the PETG cover to fold over the top and lay flat against the scope body.
