A parametric OpenSCAD file to create a recorder thumb rest for your current instrument. I set it up for my Aulos tenor, which I believe is an A511B. Set the "diameter" for the outside size of the thumb rest, and the internal_diameter for the diameter of your recorder at the point you wish the thumb rest to stay. You may have to fiddle the "offset" to get an object which OpenSCAD says is "Simple: yes" but which has enough edge to properly grip the recorder.
I printed this in ABS on a Folgertech Prusa 2020 i3. It took around 25 minutes. It's much better than the standard cork-and-rubber-band contraption. I have also successfully printed thumb rests for a chalmuneau and a "Xaphoon" ( basically a chalmuneau with a saxophone mouth piece). It works well with either ABS or PLA.
