Parametric Star Plate – 8 mm

Star plate for pressing pyrotechnic stars. Stars are 8 mm in diameter, the plate makes 12 stars at once. Check my profile for other size star plates and other fireworking tools. Included FreeCAD model can be modified by changing only 1 value to make any size star desired. The value that needs to be changed is shown in the attached picture. Download the closest model to the desired size (for example if you need 15 mm stars download the 13mm model and increase it to 15, not 6 mm >15 mm) to avoid software bugs. Uneven or shock loading (like hitting with a mallet) might cause the pins to break off. This should not happen when using a press. If any pins do break off they can be glued back on with 5 minute epoxy. Apply the epoxy to the pin and insert the pin plate into the star plate, to ensure the pin is properly aligned. Be careful to not glue the pin plate to the star plate.
