I recently start to print ABS and discovered that many of the refills were loose on the spool causing a lot of jams in the AMS. Simple enough to fix, just need to respool. But what I have discovered using my pastamatic spooler is that if you wind just a little too tightly or fast, the spool itself would bulge a little at the outer rim, so that it would not rotate or fit properly in the AMS…. After respooling the same spool about 5 times with the same results, I finally made this little shoe that fits on the spool carriage side of the pastamatic. Sized for the normal factory Bambu spool it basically restricts the spool from widening so that once done it will be the same width as when empty. Worked great for me using the original size so give it a try if your having any issues with this problem. May be slightly tight at first depending on printer settings so you can also try the slightly looser version. Should work in any material like PLA, PETG or ABS
