I recently found it cheaper to buy 3kg spools in bulk, and then I can put the filament onto old 1kg spools to fit into the AMS. To do so, I printed out the pastamatic system by GekoPrime (Incredible design, highly recommended), but the 3kg spools were too big to fit onto it. So I designed this to raise the system by 1.5 inches. Now, it holds the 12-inch diameter spool great! Can hold up to a 13-inch diameter spool. Also, it spreads the two sides to the maximum width, as shown in the photos. It still works fine like that, but I might look for longer male/female threaded parts that hold the spools. Lastly, the part that goes back and forth to guide it onto the receiving spool no longer touches the table. This works fine because the filament going through it stops it from flipping, but it did make me nervous at first, so figured I should mention it in case you got worried. To Assemble:Simply slide each of the bases onto the riser. Then connect each side of the bases together, to fully ass
