I have been experimenting with the use of slicer settings to allow for high-resolution meshes to be 3d printed for dust filters.
These instructions are for Prusa slicers, however, I am sure there are equivalents in cura and the other slicer software available.
By setting top and bottom solid layers to 0 there will be no top or bottom layer and the surface will match the infill pattern. By setting triangular (rectilinear will also work) as infill pattern and setting the infill to between 75% and 99%, a generated high-density mesh can be printed.
The shape is a rectangle with dimensions of 130mm x 115mm x 0.4mm. Holes have been made for a 120mm fan.
Printed with ABS and 0.2mm layer height.
I use glue stick for the print and run the build plate under the tap to release the mesh.
