We (the natural sciences course (class 9)) of the Herta-Lebenstein-Realschule in cooperation with the Projekt-Akadamie from the IGS-Aurich) designed a complex model of a pelton turbine, which provided a little radio with electricity (or many LEDs). On the video you can see how the model works.
You will need the following components for assembly:
2 ball-bearings (6x12x4 mm) or you use the simpel rings
18 nuts (M3)
18 screws (M3)
1 threaded rod (M5)
2 washers (M5)
4 nuts (M5)
electric motor (Johnson 12 V 008 03 23311 is a good choice)
