Pen Blank Cutting Jig

I have a lot of pens to make. Cutting the blanks is time consuming and I was using a sled that I was not happy with, so I went to YouTube and I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-8GQh_Ynls

Looked like a good solution. But the company that makes this jig is no longer available or doesn't make the jig. It was a very simple design, not too different from some styles of dado jigs.

I have a small cheap band saw that I want to keep a blade that is good for cutting blanks on, and then I can leave my larger bandsaw for preparing the blanks. I modified a miter gauge for use on the small bandsaw and printed the jig.

The jig goes together with brass inserts and screws. Assemble the plate and the fence first. I used a dovetail slide in the fence for added stability and so the stoppers work better in plastic.
