Surprise! Pen stand!
This one is a bit of a tricky print: the supports are pretty thin; it came out surprisingly well on the FDM, but while playing around with it to test the strength, we discovered its lack of strength. On the SLA the default supports were... numerous and annoying. Consider this a launching pad for similar designs and printer fidelity checks.
The brown version is on the MakerGear M3, the gray version is from a Form 2. No supports on the M3, default supports on the Form 2. Minimal post-processing on both as a baseline; minor sanding on the support nubs on the Form 2 print.
Surprised the M3 version came out as well as it did, but if we remix this one, the support thickness will be at least doubled, and might try a custom angle on the Form 2 to reduce the number of supports, with the commensurate decrease in strength, and increase in layering (which isn't that bad on the Form 2 anyway).
