This 3D design is based on a project my daughter was asked to do in STEM which was to build a "pencil wind turbine" to lift a small basket of weights, blowing the turbine blades with a hair dryer.
The original project (pictured) had to be done with a pencil and bits of card or scrap plastic. Although her project worked very well, the card blades bent once we had added only a small amount of weight.
We used the idea to build a 3D model in Tinkercad. Whilst obviously my daughter learned a lot from the original model and this isn't intended to replace that learning experience, the strength of the 3D print model makes it more resilient and may make a good teacher model or for a fun toy afterwards.
