Since I bought a new 3D printer, I needed a desktop spool holder for the filament.
Of course, there are plenty of them available, so I downloaded one called *The Ultimate Spool Holder*.
I printed it, inserted the bearings, but noticed that they fit very loosely and barely stayed in place. As a result, the assembled structure wasn’t sturdy. With a heavy spool, I think the holder would just fall apart... What to do... hmm...
The design and idea are good, but it needs some small improvements. So, without thinking too much, I designed my own version of the holder.
### Here’s what we’ll need:
- **4 pieces of standard, widely-used bearings (608) 8x22x7mm;**
These are commonly found in rollerblades, skateboards, etc. I think many of you might have some unused ones lying around the house, so you can repurpose those :)
- **4 pieces of M3 screws, 14mm in length, with nuts.**
Print four identical parts. I printed mine with 15%-20% infill, which is more than enough. Everythi
