After more than a year of challenging myself using different extruders’ topologies and feed screws, from the learned lessons, I propose a new geometry that takes into account the weak points and the desire of printing with elastomers. The new extruder features are: simple to print and assemble, easy to use and to clean, capable to print with various kinds of materials including highly elastic ones. Besides, it has a potential of further development and a flexible model of the system that is possible to change. Therefore it is useful to change the nozzle diameter to sufficiently increase the speed; or to attach the filament sensor to control the fusion. The extruder was tested with E3D V6 normal hotend an Volcano, giving very good results.
The printing of spare parts is pretty easy. We use PLA. Note that main_body and idler must be printed in 100% infill. extruder_holder and sensor_holder are good with 50% infill. Remove the support material with stationary knife and file the holes to
