When I purchased my Phanteks Shift case, I, like many others, noticed there were many problems caused by poor airflow within the otherwise great looking case. I figured out the airflow issues, and this print is just one of many modifications I made. The standard filter seemed too restrictive for the intake, and the exhaust air was filtered, even though it didn't need to be. After a ton of research, I settled on the Silverstone FF143B 140MM Ultra Fine Filter since I live in the dusty environment and have house pets. I then basically taped it to the intake area to test thermals. Once I was satisfied with the filter performance, I set out to design a custom bracket that would hold the filter in place while having the appearance of a stock part and prevent cold air from escaping through unused wiring access holes.
