I think that this stand has a pretty unique design. I modeled this initially with the hope of putting it on an articulating arm so that I could hold my phone in various angles for when I'm recording videos. I printed out the clamp part first and realized that it works pretty nicely as a universal phone stand as well. it uses both a screw and nut, as well as a couple springs to hold the phone in place.
