For black or darker color backgrounds I recommend using matte filament to prevent reflections or visible printing seams. The background can be sanded and painted for a smooth custom finish of any sheen or effect. I am going to print one with matte black and sprinkle in some stars for an infinite space background! I'll upload the photos when it is complete. All photos were taken with iPhone. For the light source, I used an adjustable desktop LED lamp with color temperature controls.
