A remix of dragsterbox's pi camera case for the prusa i3 printers.
I added 2 'ears' for 5mm led's to sit in with cutouts for the wires to come out the bottom, plus matching covers on the back fitting that the pi camera board screws to.
The 2 halves of the camera case just push together.
This allows my printer to run in a totally dark room and i can still see what's happening to the print on the octopi webcam stream.
I use the 'Enclosure Plugin' on octoprint to control the led's:
https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/enclosure/
With a simple transistor allowing safe switching of the 5 volt led's from a pi's GPIO pin.
I set it so that the led's turn on when a print starts and turn off when it's finished.
Plus i can turn them on or off whenever i want from octoprint.
You could simply connect the led's to the 5v pin on the pi to have them on all the time.
(just check the current consumption is within your pi's limits)
