The idea came from small parallel computing, this mounting solution allows for a single Raspberry Pi to be mounted in a 5.25" bay in the front of a computer. This essentially creates a hot-swappable Linux machine right there in your desktop. With a little electronics work, a PCI card of sorts could be used to link multiple bays up over local DHCP, giving you an experimental linux parallel computer in the front of your Windows, Mac or Linux PC.
