This is a adjustable OpenSCAD design for mounting both the laser diode and coin battery with standard connector for an external switch. Assembly requires soldering wires and a hot glue gun.
Edit the OpenSCAD file to enter dimensions for the specific laser pointer you are using. These are "d_lamp" and "l_lamp" for diameter and length of the laser pointer. You may need to add a little extra room to fit it properly. Use OpenSCAD to generate your custom STL file.
In the USA you can use a Class IIIa laser diode module for gun sights. These lasers do not exceed 5mW output and designed to not cause eye damage if inadvertently viewed. These are commonly used for laser pointers (presentations and cat torture) and laser gun sights. Don't be outfitting this with a Class IIIR or Class IV laser as someone will get hurt. Do take care never to intentionally point the laser into anyone's eyes. Any respectable CQB Arena should ban you for life for not following basic safety requirements.
