The Vision The goal with this print was to get rid ofthe "clutter" of traditional smoking stands. Most pipe stands are functional but lack a certain beauty; they’re either wire racks or heavy wood blocks. This rest is designed as a frozen gesture—a minimalist, monochrome study of a hand in a moment of rest. By using a seamless single color finish, the object loses its "human" skin texture and becomes a purely architectural form. It’s meant to look like a museum fragment when empty, and a cool piece of utility when in use. Design & Utility The geometry is strictly focused on the "cradle." I’ve moved the fingers into a position that prioritizes stability, ensuring the bowl of the pipe has a dedicated landing spot while the stem is supported by the natural curve of the thumb and forefinger.
