This is an experimental fixture for launching and receiving sound waves on a 1-inch pipe, for a sonar type distance measurement. One example is measuring water depth in a well. This is simply a partial elbow with the same inside diameter as the pipe, so it maintains the same acoustic impedance as the pipe. There are recessed mounting positions for a 9.8 mm diameter electret mic such as the PUI AOM-5024L-HD-R, and a 38 mm tweeter such as the "ToToT Ultrasonic Speaker Piezo" from amazon.com/gp/product/B07RW7ZNB4. There is also a 1 mm diameter hole for a wire parallel with the pipe axis, to suspend a reference target at a given distance down a (vertical) pipe. The end facing the pipe has the same OD as the pipe, so the part sits flush on the pipe end and is mechanically coupled to it using a separate outer sleeve of the correct diameter (1-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe, OD=33.5 mm) which is the part named "Pipe_Sleeve". This sleeve was not made integral to the part, due to printing limitati
