an icon of international design.Armando Testa's studio (Turin, 1917-1992) played a leading role in this regard: thanks to the contribution of an exceptional team of creatives, it gave birth to true heroes of the small screen who became symbols of Italian culture of the time, as well as icons of local design. Among the absolute protagonists of the Carosello born within the Testa Studio, Pippo, the Lines hippopotamus, remains one of the most memorable, to the point of bordering on myth. It was created by a very young and talented Santo Alligo, then fresh from training between the Civica Scuola d'Arte Ceramica and the studio of Anna Maria Carusi.
