I designed this for my son as a bit of an educational, interactive toy.
I've designed it with pretty lose tollerences, as I was thinking of little heavy handed hands, also so it'd be easier to turn. Although I did print the planetary gears at 98%, just for extra wiggle room. This will of course depend on your printer and settings.
The handle is split into parts, to avoid using supports but you may need some where the second 'handle holder' seats. Again this depends on your printer.
The brass inserts are for M3 bolts and the bolts were M3 countersunk.
After desgining and printing, I realised when tipped around the gears could fall out, if not paying attention, when my son had it in hand. So I designed the 'outter' which fits via friction and just covers a slight section of the ring gear, stopping the planets falling out.
Any questions, send them over and it'd be cool to see any prints.
Note:
The model in the images was printed in Silk PLA, with a 0.4 nozzle other than
