Plasma Balls are fascinating with the moving light strings which can be influenced by touching the ball - but were very expensive in the past.Small plasma balls like this one (80mm / 3 inch) are not expensive any more and look much more interesting when integrated in the earth... How I Designed This:I used the Wired Earth Globe by Ferjerez (Thingiverse thing:1750333) and scaled it up factor 1.655 to have a nominal inner diameter of 80.6mm. I drilled a hole of 47mm into the south part and split it into 2 parts to allow assembly. I reduced the thickness of the continents because they looked too thick for me.Notes for print:For slicing Cura 5.7.0 and 5.2.1 works - Cura 5.6 not.(This may be related to the mesh at intersection between continents and grid of the earth: FreeCAD shows a lot of mesh abnormalities.)I used tree support.Assembly was still a tight fit, should be a bit easier if scaled slightly (e.g.1%) larger.
