A projection of earth represented by each of the 5 platonic solids! A platonic solid is a 3D shape that meets all of these conditions:All faces are identicalThe same number of faces meet at each vertexThe faces all meet at identical three-dimensional anglesEach of these shapes can be formed into a flat net which can then be folded together. Designing a 3D print this way allows the texture of every face to be the same, which leads to a very satisfying final product. Internal latches keep the entire shape held together tightly. Assembly can be tricky and requires a bit of patience, but once assembled these shapes are very nice to hold. The latches are not designed to be used over and over, so the intent is to keep the shape as it is after assembly. The display stands are designed to hold their respective solids with tension alone and do not require any glue or other hardware. There's a lot of room for remixing here as I see a lot of potential for outer surfaces. (D&D dice, decoration
