we needed protective case for the playdate that is easy to print (no assembly, no extra parts), nice to handle and sturdy. this is the first version i came up with, based on a (CC) model by user polytrigon on makerworld. it feels nice with the rounded corners, has a tight fit, and opens like a book. i love print-in-place hinges, and i think this one worked out well.
warning: with the tight fit and the print-in-place hinge, there is a chance that overextrusion etc. makes it unusable. it might take some force to »break« the hinge after taking it off the plate.
for now, i consider it work in progress.
edit: added a version 2, introducing small changes like larger gaps in the hinge. photos still show the original version.
