This is the finished plug part. I braised a chunk on to the end of the modified ST22 part then turned it down to correct diameter and length after it was "glued" together. I used a new technique since this part is aluminum and I got some brazing rod for aluminum. I individually "wet" both mating surfaces with the braise, then used a screw to pull the parts together when re-melting the filler material. The bond was strong enough to hold up to the lath operations, so I figured it will stay together as intended.
