A simple reference model of a knife I forged and as I think it's cool, I'm posting it here. Tolerances are very tight, so it all depends on the printer you're using. If the pins don't fit, you'll simply have to make new ones and adapt them to your printer (a simple 7mm high cylinder for 4mm diameter holes). They are simply there to act as a guide when gluing. Assembly is very simple: simply insert the pins into one of the handles, apply glue to the face, then insert the blade and finally glue the second handle on top and you're done!
