This is a pocket toothpick holder. It holds 25-30 toothpicks. It screws tightly closed and opens up just enough to load and unload toothpicks, without spilling them all over the floor. When assembled, the canister is all one piece.
For assembly, the inner part is inserted through the bottom of the outer part until the rod extends through the canister, then the lid is screwed onto the rod until the threads are fully inside the lid. I used a pair of pliers to grip the center rod while attaching the lid to the rod. Then the canister is ready for operation.
UPDATE: v2 of the outer has been posted. It will help keep the stringing from happening on the inside if you print with the threaded end up.
UPDATE: You might need to rotate the STL file in your slicer program in order to print properly. They need to be printed upright. (not on their sides as shown in the above STL pics.) The lid should be printed flat, with the hole facing upwards.
Please post pics and feedback.
