The Philips Hue lamps are so awesome, it would be a shame not to make my own lamp shades with it. I needed to buy fittings anyway.
This model is the first of three. I thought it would be nice to generate this lamp shade given some geometric shapes. I designed it as a tabletop model. Both parts can be printed in a single go without support. Make sure your fitting has 2 screws on the outside, so you can clamp the parts in between. Accidently, it also quite looks nice with just the top part.
The hole is 42mm diameter to fit my E27 fittings. Source code is included, so you can adjust as needed.
Materials and methods
I used transparent PLA, which perfectly fits the need. The build plate must be at least something like 210x210x152mm.
