Attaching the QHY PoleMaster to your mount requires a specific part that's often expensive (ok - they're about £20, but when you can print something for 50p, that's expensive!) and you need a different attachment for each mount. That means that if you change your mount, upgrade or happen to have several mounts (and let's face it - that's most of us!), you need attachments for each one.
I've designed a flat base plate that attaches to the PoleMaster. Once attached (using the M3 bolts that came with your device or some 17mm long ones and some M3 nuts) this stays in place. There are 3 holes in the side of the plate that need to be tapped to M3 too.
The second part of the device is the polarscope plug. These are held firmly in place using a friction tightening mechanism (you need an M6 nut and bolt for this). I even designed a tightening tool for a hex headed bolt. The front of the plug is exactly the size needed to attach the PoleMaster base plate to.
